Money Dashboard provides bank-level security. Once you have created an account your login information is encrypted and passed to our data provider Yodlee which connects with the bank. To assure the highest level of security your personal information is protected between your browser and our servers through Secure Socket Layers provided by Verisign. The same security is also in place from our servers to Yodlee.
We use certificates with Extended Validation with a 256-bit encryption (Strong Encryption), and services that are ISO 27001 accredited. This means that your data has the highest standard of protection at all times. All of our services are routinely inspected, tested and audited by qualified security and data specialists, such as Commissium, TrustArc and Security Alliance. Protection includes monitoring and managing our firewalls 24/7, and providing Active Intrusion Prevention and Detection Systems (IDS and IPS).
- Provide you the Service and to Communicate with you
- To Improve the Service
- To create anonymized market research - which will never identify you or be used to directly market to you
Occasionally we may share your data with another organisation. This will only happen if:
- The organisation is helping us to either provide the service, improve the service, or to communicate with you. And we will always have an agreement with them that your data will only be used for this purpose; or
- You give us permission to share your data with a named organisation, so that you can get a product or service form them.
How does Money Dashboard make money?
Money Dashboard is a free app and we want to ensure it stays that way. To an individual (you) we provide an insight into your personal finances so you can stay in control of your money. We don’t think its right to charge you for this, and we do need a way to earn money so you can continue to benefit from Money Dashboard.
Fortunately, by removing any information about you from the data, we can create market research that is both anonymous and valuable to businesses interested in consumer spending behaviours. Rest assured that none of this research will ever include any data that could be used to identify you and we will never share any of your personal data (unless you explicitly ask us to). We also get external accredited auditors to check that we are removing anything that identifies you from the research we sell.
How can you benefit from the market research?
We are really excited by the opportunity to provide you better services through our market research. Our market research lets us understand how consumers spend, save and borrow, so we can help you get the best products or services for your needs. For example, we could help you understand if you are overpaying for certain services (such as utilities or mortgages) and help identify the best possible alternatives, making it easy for you to make the most of your money. We’d love to know from you if there is anything you think would be particularly helpful.
