What does Money Dashboard do with my anonymised data?
Money Dashboard Classic is a free application and we want to ensure it stays that way. To an individual (you) we provide an insight into your personal finances so you can stay in control of your money. We don’t think its right to charge you for this, and we do need a way to earn money so you can continue to benefit from Money Dashboard.
Fortunately, by removing any information about you from the data, we can create market research that is both anonymous and valuable to businesses interested in consumer spending behaviours. Rest assured that none of this research will ever include any data that could be used to identify you and we will never share any of your personal data (unless you explicitly ask us to). We also get external accredited auditors to check that we are removing anything that identifies you from the research we sell.
How can you benefit from the market research?
We are really excited by the opportunity to provide you better services through our market research. Our market research lets us understand how consumers spend, save and borrow, so we can help you get the best products or services for your needs. For example, we could help you understand if you are overpaying for certain services (such as utilities or mortgages) and help identify the best possible alternatives, making it easy for you to make the most of your money. We’d love to know from you if there is anything you think would be particularly helpful.
