Important to Note
For users who already have accounts connected to Money Dashboard Classic and has the Open Banking API available, we offer a switch to Open Banking service.
This essentially stops the old connection; creates a new connection via Open Banking API and seamlessly aligns your transactions so you don’t see any impact from the transition - other than benefits ore regularly refreshed data feed in Money Dashboard Classic, more control over what data you share, and when. In most cases the system will automatically match up your old and new accounts when you do the switch. However, in some instances we can’t match your old accounts because the account information provided from the bank is different to your historic records. >In this instance we have built a tool to help you ‘match’ accounts which is detailed in Step 3.
Switching your accounts to Open Banking on Desktop (Web)
Step 1. Navigating to the accounts page
- If you are in full screen mode you will see the Accounts tab on the top ribbon of your main dashboard.
- If you are on a smaller view you will see
in the top left hand corner. Click on it and select Accounts from the drop down menu.
- For both views you will now be in the accounts page.
Step 2. Switching to Open Banking
- When you have an account that is eligible to switch an Open Banking connection you will see a green “Switch to open banking” next to the account
- Click on ‘Switch to Open Banking’
- Follow the prompts to connect your account
- If we can successfully match your accounts no further action will be needed. However, if we need your help matching some accounts you will be taken to the “account match service”. Please follow Step 3 in this case.

- Tap on the account you want to switch
- Select ‘Migrate Account’ from the menu
- Please make sure you have checked if your account is eligible to switch here.
