Known issue when trying to switch my Barclays accounts to Open Banking
Why is this happening?
If you are experiencing problems when migrating your Barclays accounts to the new Open Bank API connection, this is due to Barclays requiring the connection to be done via the PINSentry login method.
However, we are finding that if users have set their default login option at the main Barclays site to always connect with the Passcode/Memorable Word login, then when trying to connect via Open Banking, the Barclays site is defaulting to the Memorable Word/Passcode flow and returning an error instead.
How do I fix it?
To correct this issue, please go to the main Barclays site and amend the default login method to PINSentry before trying to migrate to Open Banking again on Money Dashboard. Please get in touch if you are still unable to connect after trying this.

Connecting your Barclays accounts
As of 1st September 2019 it is only possible to add new Barclays accounts to Money Dashboard using the new Open Banking APIs. If you added your Barclays accounts to the Dashboard before this date using the older credentials sharing option you will still be able to refresh the existing accounts with this method, but it is no longer possible to add new accounts this way. If you are having problems refreshing your existing accounts not connected via Open Banking see here.
