Changes to authentication process from The Co-operative Bank
There has been a change in authentication requirements from your bank provider, your connected Co-Op accounts will need to be manually refreshed and you will be prompted to input your Co-operative Bank account banking credentials. We appreciate that this step is time-consuming and apologise for the inconvenience caused. The way to mitigate this is to establish an Open Banking API connection between your Co-operative Bank account and Money Dashboard. At this point in time, does not have an Open Banking API. 25th October 2019 - My transactions are not updating
The delay in receiving transaction data from The Co-operative Bank accounts is a known issue and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We are currently working with our data provider Yodlee to resolve this. You can read in more detail about the issue in the following paragraphs.
Money Dashboard can only receive transactions from the banks when they are fully cleared, so although you may see recent items on your online banking they may still be in pending status and not yet available to Money Dashboard. Pending items normally clear and become available in 1-2 business days, though in some cases may take longer (e.g - transactions made over a weekend/bank holiday, contactless payments, overseas transactions, etc).
However, banks may make changes to transaction descriptions between pending and cleared status (in some cases this is a small a change as an extra comma or space). Occasionally this can cause the system to incorrectly identify a transaction as two separate items leading to duplication. In the past The Co-operative Bank have been particularly bad for this behaviour.
As a result our data provider Yodlee have had to insert an additional buffer on accounts from The Co-operative Bank to ensure all transaction data is completely finalised before becoming available on Money Dashboard, and thus prevent chronic duplication problems. Unfortunately this means that transactions from The Co-operative Bank may take around 4-5 business days to become available as opposed to the 1-2 day average from other banks.
We are in the midst of looking into ways to reduce this wait time with Yodlee and apologies for the inconvenience caused.
