This page explains what information comes with a transaction. Transactions are one of the key building blocks of using Money Dashboard Classic.
What information comes with a transaction?
Transactions are debits and credits that come through the bank accounts you have linked. Within each transaction there are 4 components. These are:
- Date: The date the transaction is logged in your bank account. The date of the transaction is given to us by your bank
- Description: In the description you will find Merchant tagging. This gives you a clearer view to find your transactions.
- A Tag: This is the ‘category’ you give a transaction. Tagging is an important part of the MDB experience and we will go into more detail later.
- Amount: This is the total value of the transaction
