What is a Roll Over and how does it reflect on my Budgets?
Let's say that you have a budget set up for £100. You overspent a little bit and spent £110. The rollover amount in this example would be £10. The £10 roll over is not taken into account for your next budget.
What is Double Counting?
Double counting is when the same transaction is being included in multiple budgets. This can happen in 2 ways - directly and indirectly
Direct double counting
Direct double counting is where you have the same tag in 2 different budgets
Indirect double counting
Indirect double counting is where you have a Tag in one budget that is a subset of another tag.
An example of this would be having the level 1 tag Appearance in a budget and and the Level 2 Tag Toiletries in another. This would result in toiletries being counted twice (as toiletries is a branch out of appearance).
If you are unsure of how the Tag levels work, we have an article on The Importance of Tagging Levels
