This article provides information on why you might not be seeing all your Revolut's transactions on Money Dashboard Classic and why this happens.
1. Why can't I see my Revolut transactions?
3. Why do I see these transactions on Revolut and not Money Dashboard Classic?
4. Why are some of my Revolut transactions appearing in the wrong amount?
Why can’t I see my Revolut transactions?
Revolut in particular can take a longer time to completely clear pending transactions. It could be up to 7 days as opposed to the usual 1 - 2 day average from other banks. This is dependent on Revolut and the merchant.
Revolut outlines this in more depth here - https://blog.revolut.com/why-is-my-transaction-pending/
Money Dashboard Classic only shows cleared transactions it may look like some of your transactions are missing. Once these transactions have been cleared on Revolut's end, they will be reflected on your Money Dashboard Classic account after a refresh.
Why does this happen?
Money Dashboard Classic uses a matching system to prevent duplicate transactions from appearing on your account. This looks for transactions and tries to verify if they are in the system, and skips them if they have already imported.
With no intervention, pending transactions and pre-authorisations would come through multiple times as their status changes before clearing and are therefore seen as separate transactions.
As this would skew your totals and data, we've implemented a delay to try and prevent duplicates and to work with Revolut's inherent delay.
Why do I see these transactions on Revolut and not Money Dashboard Classic?
As Revolut is able to reflect directly your transactions as they occur, you are able to see your transactions on Revolut. However, Money Dashboard Classic only pulls in data when the transaction is completely cleared.
Why are some of my Revolut transactions appearing in the wrong order?
Merchant transactions and Revolut Vault transactions can come through at different times. While there may be a delay with merchant transactions, internal movements like Vaults will be cleared on Revolut's end and comes through to Money Dashboard Classic straight away, which means you can see transactions appearing in the wrong order.
What can I do about it?
We appreciate that this can be frustrating and apologise for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, there's not much to do except wait for transactions to be completely cleared on Revolut's end. We are working on solutions to minimise the delay and hope to mitigate soon.
