If you have recently switched your connected bank accounts to the Open Bank API connection, you might be experiencing an issue with the 'Tag Similar Transactions' (on Web)/ 'Apply to similarly named transactions' on mobile (iOS/Android).
Why has the 'Tag Similar Transactions' / 'Apply to similarly named transactions' stopped working?
Why has the 'Tag Similar Transactions' / 'Apply to similarly named transactions' stopped working?
The feature to tag similar transactions works on text-based rules. When you switch to an Open Bank API connection, the naming conventions that your bank applies to transaction may change. This can also happen for bank accounts connected via credential sharing. Hence, a transaction that does not match your tagging rule will not get picked up as a 'similar transaction'. What can I do to fix this?
To quickly address this issue, you can update your tagging rules. This article on Tagging Rules shows you how to do so.
