This article outlines what might have happened if you have had problems migrating (or 'switching') your account to an Open Banking connection.
The first step is to 'Switch account to Open Banking". You will be directed to your online banking site to confirm what accounts you want to connect. We will automatically link up your existing accounts to keep all your spending history.
However, sometimes we can't match an account and then we need your help!
In this case we will show you which accounts we couldn't match and ask you to confirm which of your existing accounts they map to.
Pick the accounts you want to link together.
If you can't see a new account to match to, it might be because
- The account isn't available on Open Banking - check supported accounts here
- It's there but you don't recognise the name! - if your bank doesn't provide the proper name for your account it defaults to " British Pound Account". We advise checking the balance to match your accounts.
If you made a mistake and didn't match an account but it was available from your bank, you can either "switch" again - by selecting "switch" on the account managment menu
If there was a new account offered by your bank and you didn't have it connected to Money Dashboard already you will need to add it as new. Simply follow the "add account" process.
