What and why is this happening?
We have received several reports of the login page to key in your Virgin Money credentials when connecting an account requests for a 'Customer ID' instead of 'Customer Number' or 'Username'. As such account adds are not possible.
The open banking API that Money Dashboard Classic integrated points to the URL provided by Virgin Money on the open banking directory. However, we are aware that the discrepancy above is preventing successful account adds.
Due to the merges between B Money, Virgin Money, Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank, there appears to be a discrepancy between the type of login issued by the provider. However, we are aware that with the open banking API, B Money's API supports the credential logins across these providers.
Integration with B Money is currently on the road map and this will enable the group of users who were not issued a relevant customer ID number by Virgin Money to then go through the add account process successfully using B Money instead of Virgin Money's API.
What can I do?
For the moment, if you wish to, you can use the Offline source feature to manually enter and update balances for unsupported accounts, though at present it is not possible to manually enter transaction data. We're considering introducing this facility in a future update, but there are no definite timescale at the moment.
